Vineeta Gupta’s publishing career spans over a period of 35 years.
Gupta initially worked with Oxford University Press, before moving to Penguin to commission children’s books. Her interest in children’s language and literature led her back to Oxford University Press to head the Children’s Dictionary and Language Reference list.
Gupta currently oversees the print and digital publications from first alphabet books to major English and bilingual dictionaries for older students, as well as special dictionaries like the Oxford Illustrated Shakespeare Dictionary and the Oxford Roald Dahl Dictionary.
Her special interest is children’s language and building language databases that can accurately track and analyse the real living language of children today.
